Remote Work Spaces
/Increasingly we're welcoming spaces for remote working into our homes even before the onset of the pandemic. Separate desk space or an office is a luxury that’s in demand for the home. A sense of separateness from other home activity is what the dedicated office provides, a chance to open the door on work and close it too. But homeworking is needed for all the family and often for guests who stay. So thinking through the temporary use of existing spaces for work too is also useful, particularly for the need to zoom. Adding sockets under the table for a task lamp or lap top for example or desks to a bedroom may well be required. Having a wireless printer and great WIFI access that everyone can use is ideal for remote working on the move. Guests may even use your spaces for meeting remotely bringing teams together into your space. The idea of the home as a digital working space and the ease with which that can function is an important design concept and reality today.
