Spill the Beans for the Perfect Kitchen Brief
/The case for knowing how our clients use their kitchen is the basis for its good design. Usually over a good cup of coffee we talk through just how like to experience and use their kitchen. Knowing who cooks and how you cook informs the kind of equipment you’re likely to have and how often it’s likely to be used, what kind of storage and access you’ll need. Whether you’re happy with equipment and utensils on display or whether you might like them hidden away. A larder might be important to you as a space to store dried and ambient food and perhaps to store the microwave or other equipment not used very often away from sight. Will kids frequent the kitchen, spreading their homework across the table, and reaching for a socket to plug in their laptop? Will dinner here be every day, with occasions for more intimate and special too? and if so you will need to plan for soft lighting, tablecloths, candles and quiet appliances. These are just some of the discussions we have with clients to inform our brief. We take the time for you to spill the beans on your every current and potential need so that our design optimises the joy you get from your new kitchen.
